Worldline confirms its leadership and commitment among the 1% of the best performing companies in terms of sustainable development

This recognition reinforces Worldline’s position among the 1% most sustainable companies on the four key criteria assessed by EcoVadis: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.

The overall score of 86/100, well above the average of 41.4/100 for large companies evaluated by EcoVadis, reflects Worldline’s constant commitment to sustainable development through its ambitious approach to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility ) supported by its TRUST 2025 transformation program. With a solid performance confirmed on the four ESG dimensions assessed, Worldline demonstrates its ability to implement best practices and effective action plans to achieve its sustainability ambitions.

In terms of the environment, Worldline obtained an excellent score of 90/100, underlining its solid dynamic of improving its contribution to the carbon neutrality of the payment ecosystem. As part of its environmental strategy, Worldline has set itself ambitious climate change targets to be achieved by 2025.

These objectives are aligned with a trajectory of limiting global warming to +1.5°C (for scopes 1 & 2) and have been validated by the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) as follows:

  • Reduce its absolute GHG emissions from scopes 1 and 2 by 25% by 2025 compared to the reference year 2019;
  • Reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services and use of sold products by 7.4% in the same time frame.

To meet its carbon reduction commitments, Worldline has launched a vast improvement action plan aimed at optimizing the energy efficiency of its operations through the ISO 14001 certification of its sites and data centers, the use renewable energies and the eco-design of its means of payment. terminals.
