O2 / Telefonica Germany keep on going improve relevant ESG ratings from Sustainalytics and EcoVadis. The company is particularly successful in the environmental and ethical categories, confirming its pioneering role in the management of sustainable development in the telecommunications industry.Sustainalytics recognize O2 / Telefónica Germany as one of the best ESG performances in 2022 among more than 4,000 companies analyzed. The company has improved in all assessed ESG categories and its overall ESG risk has been rated “low”. The odds in the “Carbon” and “Business Ethics” categories are particularly remarkable. The first refers to the management of risks related to the company’s own operational energy consumption. “Business Ethics” covers the assessment of business practices with regard to ethical criteria, particularly in tax, accounting, anti-competitive practices and intellectual property.
