Shell Energy broadband is simply the worst

Shell Energy broadband is simply the worst I have ever experienced. Without broadband for 2 months (after I sent them many unanswered emails, I obviously went with someone else!) Phone call from them 2 weeks ago asking how they could help me! I told them to go away! Phone call yesterday basically trying to force me to pay a cancellation fee!!! It was an incredulous conversation. I told him again… politely, to go away. I received an email 30 minutes later saying they were closing the complaint. Results

Shell/Post Office Broadband Router Charges

After Shell took over Post Office Broadband, I switched providers due to poor connection, lack of customer service and increased rates. I returned the router but they still want to charge me £35 and not refund my remaining credit despite multiple emails and phone calls. They keep sending me threatening emails about billing for router not returned. It’s awful and sad that an energy giant meddles with people’s money for a few euros

Why do you overcharge your customers?

What a corporate joke. Since I transferred to Shell in early 2022, they have always billed me on an estimated basis, even though I have submitted meter readings every month without fail. Their customer service team is terrible and even admitted that they overcharge their customers! Something needs to be done about their profit in light of the current energy crisis

Shell has set the minimum levy…

Shell have set the minimum direct debit at £103, I live alone and my monthly bill is around £70 – my account is in credit and with government credit I don’t need to pay £103 a month, when I canceled my direct debit, they said I will be charged £5 per month. They don’t care about their customers and you have to complain to do anything.

ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE

As an original Shell Energy customer service fine, but after upgrading to a 3 phase meter (to allow for additional solar panels) I ordered a 3 phase meter to have the installation canceled at the last minute. Complaint raised with customer service and after several DM contacts on Twitter for 2 months, I’m not quite sure when it will be installed. This now has an impact on my self-build project. Millions of promises and almost no returns. I have just received a third email to say that I need to update my phone number details as I have already replied twice before.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EXPERIENCED – CAN ONLY RECOMMEND YOU AVOID SHELL ENERGY IF YOU WANT TO BE PART OF THE ENERGY TRANSITION AS THEY CLEARLY FAIL. Just another oil and gas company claiming to be part of the solution…

Still no word…

Still no word on the resolution of the IHD which hasn’t worked since April.

Usage information is not loading on the app and yet they want to charge more! What service am I paying for?

Breach of contract?

Same useless answer from Shell. This problem exists SINCE DAY ONE! ALL THE WAY IN APRIL. IT HAS NEVER WORKED. WHY HAVE YOU INSTALLED SOMETHING THAT IS NOT WORKING AND YOU KNOW IT WON’T WORK? YOU HAD 7 MONTHS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. SEVEN MONTHS!!!!!!!!!

After the blue planet broke up, I was put with…

After the blue planet burst I was put with this bad company, I paid my direct debit £250 a month but ran up £2000 in debt over the year. They then decided without notification to take £800 from my account and wouldn’t let me set my direct debit below £800 when my electricity usage was now around £150 a month. I canceled the direct debit and started paying them £350 a month which is more than I use and will clear the excess in about 6 months but it’s not good enough for them they send brat emails demanding the £1200 now or my credit will be affected. I am currently in a monopoly with Shell and they can charge whatever they want as I have no alternative but trust me the second I can quit them I will NEVER use them again not even road fuel…
