Pullman Announces Australian NFT Exhibit Supporting Emerging and Indigenous Female Artists

In a world first for Pullman Hotels, Australia will host a traveling and immersive NFT (Non-Fungible Token) art exhibit, titled Digital E/SCAPES by Pullmanfeaturing four emerging and indigenous female artists from Australia and overseas.

The digital art exhibition will run from November 14 to March 27, 2023 and will launch at Pullman Sydney Hyde Park Sydney next month before traveling to Melbourne (January 9), Adelaide (February 13) and Brisbane (March 27) .

Digital E/SCAPES with Pullman includes 16 NFT artworks, four of which will be revealed with each new location. NFT works will be auctioned at each exhibition via all.accor.com/pullmannft with proceeds shared between the artist and their selected local charity.

The colorful life-size exhibit will not only serve to celebrate emerging artists, but is set to become a community destination where people can experience the Artist Playground atmosphere of Pullman properties and learn about NFTs and how they contribute to the metaverse.

Digital E/SCAPES attendees will discover the inspiration behind the artists’ work, as well as insight into the world of NFTs. Lisa Teh, co-founder of Web3 Agency Mooning, worked with the Pullman team to develop Digital E/SCAPES and will provide hotel teams with training around NFTs, so they are equipped to discuss exposure with guests and visitors to the exhibition.

Indigenous artist based in Brisbane, Chern’ee Sutton, will present their first-ever NFT, bringing together the art of one of the world’s oldest living cultures and the new age medium of NFTs. She will exhibit alongside Melbourne fine artist Ng candiesand international fame Melissa Vincentan animation artist from the United States, and 2D artist and illustrator Vi Valiukevich, who comes from Belarus. Each of the works is inspired by the concept of “journey” and what it means for each artist. The works will be displayed on LED screens in an interactive exhibition in the lobby of each hotel.

“Pullman Hotels prides itself on creating a playground for artists, so we’re extremely excited to present this cutting-edge, experiential digital exhibit,” said Sarah Derry, CEO of Accor Pacific – operator of Pullman Hotels.

“With this exhibit, Pullman aims to bridge the physical and digital environment, redefining the way we bring people together to connect and shape meaningful culture.”

“It was exciting to work with the Pullman team on such a groundbreaking project”commented Lisa Teh. “They are not only one of the first companies in the world to enter the new world of Web3, but have used technology to spotlight and support emerging and indigenous female artists.”

Brisbane Indigenous artist Chern’ee Sutton said: “I am very inspired by my indigenous culture and heritage and want to share it with the rest of the world through my art. I like to combine two worlds of art, my traditional Aboriginal heritage and the unique colors of Australia.

“Creating digital art allows me to do so from anywhere in the world and I am thrilled to share my art in the E/SCAPES by Pullman exhibition and hope you enjoy my artwork and the messages that ‘they bring.”
