ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reaffirmed its solidarity with the people of Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), as the Kashmiri people celebrated 26th January 2022 – Indian Republic Day as a black day on Wednesday.

“Today, as Kashmiris in the IIOJK and around the world mark January 26 as a dark day against India’s oppression, the government and people of Pakistan reaffirm their unwavering determination to continue to make their voices heard. voice and give all possible support to the right to self-determination of the IIOJK people,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Asim Iftikhar said in a statement.

He said it is deplorable that over the past few days Indian occupying forces have further intensified the military siege already in place in the territory occupied for more than seven decades.

“Forcing innocent Kashmiris to raise Indian flags on Republic Day is typical of India’s authoritarianism to project a false sense of ‘normality’ and a desperate attempt to mask its systematic and widespread oppression,” he said. -he adds.

He said the Indian government’s decision to award so-called bravery awards to the personnel of its occupying forces is a further affront to the dignity of the countless victims of Indian state terrorism characterized by gross violations of human rights. man, extrajudicial executions, arbitrary arrests, suspension of fundamental freedoms, rape and the use of draconian laws such as the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the public security law with impunity.
