Fogelman Properties purchased Walden Oaks, a 240-unit apartment community in Anderson, as part of a joint venture with Thackeray Partners.

Fogelman is a private, multi-family property management and investment company.

Walden Oaks was built in 2007 and is 97% occupied by one, two and three bedroom apartments, according to a press release. The company will be doing renovations to all indoor units with improvements to the fitness center, clubhouse and swimming pool.

“Anderson, SC, is the top ranked submarket in the Greenville MSA for rent growth,” said Mike Aiken, senior vice president of investments at Fogelman, in the press release. “We are excited to make another investment in the upstate region and add Walden Oaks to our expanding portfolio with Thackeray. “

Fogelman made 14 joint purchases with Dallas-based Thackeray Partners, a portfolio that includes more than 2,700 units, the statement said.

Fogelman specializes in multi-family acquisitions, property management, construction management and asset management. Nationally, Fogelman operates 94 multi-family communities totaling more than 28,000 apartment homes in 12 states.

Zach Hines of Spencer / Hines Properties represented buyer, 910 Laurens Road LLC, for the sale of approximately half an acre of land with 18,900 square feet of construction and improvements at 28 Oeland Drive, Greenville. KDS Properties represented the seller, Aegis Asset Backed Securities.

9 avenue East in Greenville Avison Young commercial real estate stated that Chris Prince represented Hearsay Properties LLC. in the sale of 2,000 square feet of office space at 9 East Ave. in Greenville at Ascend Construction LLC.

Harry Croxton of Coldwell Banker Commercial Caine represented Barwick & Associates LLC in the sale of a 10,756 square foot shopping center on land located at 3180-3190 Wade Hampton Blvd. from Taylors to Taylors Center LLC.

Wiley North of Coldwell Banker Commercial Caine represented George N. and Judy B. Psillas, who sold a 1,980 square foot commercial building on land located at 249 E. Main St. in Spartanburg to McKillop Business Group LLC.

Taylor Allen, Brantley Anderson and Bailey Tollison of Colliers represented LICAR LLC in the lease for 15,441 square feet of office space at 1 Research Drive in Greenville to ABB Inc.

Richard Barrett of Colliers, South Carolina represented Kinney Hill Associates on the lease for 9,300 square feet of industrial space at 100 Corporate Center Drive to Source One LLC.

Mike Kiriakides, broker in charge of KDS Commercial Properties, and Rickey Heaton, advisor to KDS Commercial Properties, represented WCZ Investments LLC in the purchase of a newly constructed Dollar General near Highway 417 at 315 Silver Grove Road, Simpsonville.

Josh Tew and Monty Todd of Pintail Capital Partners represented the buyer, Valentine Investment, in the purchase of a 3,866 square foot office building at 19 Halton Green Way in Greenville from vendor Harwood Investment Properties.

Peter Couchell and Rob Schmidt of Furman Capital Advisors, an investment services division of NAI Earle Furman, represented the buyer in the purchase of a Dollar General located at 3597 Highway 11 from Travelers Rest of Patton Development SC LLC.

Jason Richards of NAI Earle Furman represented the seller, 101 Mill Street LLC, in the sale of 4,400 square foot commercial investment property at 101 Mill St. in Williamston to Robert Maslow.

John D. Gray Jr. of NAI Earle Furman represented the seller in the sale of a 7,000 square foot office building located at 10 Centimeters Drive in Mauldin to Zeller Properties LLC.
