Family Joins Team Esko to Unveil Plaque at Miamisburg Dedication Ceremony
Esko has renamed its Technology and Demonstration Center at its North American headquarters in honor of Mark D. Quinlan, the two-time former president of Esko Americas.
At a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, December 14, Steve Bennett, Managing Director of Esko (North America), was joined by members of Mr. Quinlan’s family to unveil a commemorative plaque to the new Mark D. Quinlan Technology Center in Miamisburg, Ohio.
“Mark was an inspiring leader who firmly believed that Esko’s technology empowered our customers and supported their profitable growth,” said Steve. “His enthusiasm was contagious, motivating everyone who worked with him. He has demonstrated the highest level of business ethics and professionalism, making the North American organization a market leader.
Mr Quinlan, of Centerville, Ohio, died in August 2021, surrounded by his family in a Dayton hospice. Over a long career in the industry, he served as President of Esko North Americas for over seven years in two terms.
“Mark’s vision of demonstrating the capabilities of end-to-end automation was brought to life in our new technology center,” said Steve. “As well as allowing the team to showcase the latest flexo plate and prepress manufacturing technologies, either in person or virtually, the center is also an ideal base from which to devote our customer focus to Mark. . He was totally determined to develop a deep understanding of clients’ challenges, to listen and respond to their specific needs, and this is something that we are also committed and able to uphold from this facility. We are incredibly proud to dedicate the center to Mark’s name.
Mr. Quinlan’s wife Julia and children Sean and Kevin and Kevin’s wife Pam joined colleagues and guests to mark the official name change of the Esko facility to Gander Creek Drive, Miamisburg, Ohio. Mr. Quinlan’s other son, Patrick, was unable to attend.
