Dr. Jason Rinaldo Launches Campaign for Lubbock ISD School Board | KLBK | KAMC


LUBBOCK, Texas (PRESS RELEASE) — Here is a press release from Dr. Jason Rinaldo’s campaign:

On Saturday, April 2, Dr. Jason Rinaldo will host a campaign kick-off event at 1:00 p.m. at Stewart Elementary 4815 56th Street. Dr. Rinaldo holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and is an assistant professor of practice at Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business, where he teaches business ethics, statistics, and decision theory. For more than a decade, Dr. Rinaldo served as an assessment manager for Texas Tech Rawls College of Business to monitor and improve student learning. Prior to Texas Tech, Jason was a psychometrician for the American Board of Family Medicine, overseeing “board review” scoring for the nations family physicians. His research has focused on the ways in which tests can produce measurement errors and invalid scores. He taught his first class in 1997, and his experience as a teacher, psychologist, researcher prepared him for the job at hand.

Dr. Rinaldo hopes to help Lubbock ISD rebuild community relationships, and he views our schools as the central pillar of our community. Dr. Rinaldo says his campaign will focus on identifying issues that matter to those most affected by policy decisions – teachers, families and neighborhoods. Once in office, he will be committed to raising their voices and finding solutions that ease the burden on teachers, engage families, and preserve the integrity of neighborhoods and communities.
