Pittsburgh, KS – The City of Pittsburgh has selected Kim Froman to fill the position of Director of Community Development and Housing. Beginning Sept. 26, Froman will lead the city’s housing and community development programs and oversee the city’s building security division.
“We are thrilled to have Kim join our team,” Pittsburgh City Manager Daron Hall said. “She is a proven leader with strong roots in Pittsburgh. His expertise in team building, management, networking and operations will serve our growing community well. »
As Director, Froman will be responsible for networking and building positive relationships with business leaders, educational institutions, landowners, investors, regulatory and government agencies, non-profit organizations profit and citizens to promote the future growth of Pittsburgh.
“I hope to bring the perspective of not just a Pittsburgh citizen but also a wife, mother, and business owner,” Froman said. “I’m excited to team up with the City of Pittsburg to continue to make Pittsburg a great place to live, shop and do business, and also to market Pittsburg to those who may not be familiar with our amazing community. “
Froman holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pittsburg State University and brings with her more than 20 years of experience in corporate business operations management. Froman previously served as Director of Talent at Crossland Construction in Columbus, KS. She and her husband Davey Froman have two children and own a local Miners & Monroe retail store in downtown Pittsburgh, which they opened when they moved back to Pittsburgh four years ago.
“Supporting this town and helping it grow has been one of my goals since we got home,” Froman says. “I am excited to begin.”
