Business Development Manager – Solutions as a Service

Up to £90,000, OTE £180,000 plus great benefits.

Our client is a long-established specialist financier with an international footprint providing specialist solutions to large corporations.

They have recently entered the solutions-as-a-service “AAS” business by hiring a leading market specialist to develop their proposition offering these industry-leading solutions for transactions of £5m+.

Our client has an appetite for any asset except ships and aircraft where a capacity based service based solution can be structured. They already have complete documentation and real contractual legal expertise enabling them to create completely tailor-made solutions.

What is now being sought is to hire up to 2 business development managers to focus either on commercial customers or the NHS sector.

Our client is aware that finding candidates with experience with the NHS is likely to be a significant challenge and as such are happy to hire 2 BDMs to focus on the commercial sector.

What is needed is a C-level investment-grade customer contact black book that can be repurposed with these most modern proposals.

Our client is a performance driven employer so this role will only be suitable for someone who at 6 months in the role, if not actually in contract, will have at least 3 serious offers underway . Those who by month 6 have had many meetings but have nothing concrete to expect to deliver in the next 6 months will likely not be considered.

In return for operating in an environment that reasonably expects a return on investment, you can expect to earn around £200,000 a year, top performers can expect to earn a bit more.

Candidate profile

Ideally our client is looking for people who can work in central London offices 2 days a week BUT……if you really have a black book that you can really reuse we will strongly encourage our client to focus on that rather than your location.

You will not only need to have your black book of contacts, but also have seriousness, presence and in-depth business experience coupled with a genuine instinct for hunting new business.

We’re looking for those who can see a deal and quickly qualify prospects’ appetite and desire to make things happen, building engagement with multiple stakeholders. You’ll need a targeted approach so you don’t waste your time on suspects who aren’t going anywhere.

It’s important to note that you don’t need any real experience selling solutions as a service, all you need is your black book of investment-grade contacts and the skills and willingness to repurchase. your contacts and the ability to sell a concept as C – can you do that? …..if so, we want to speak with you now.
