Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge appointed Miguel Lopez of Little Rock to the Arkansas Ethics Commission Friday, July 15.
The Ethics Commission serves as the compliance and enforcement agency responsible for ensuring that Arkansas standards of conduct and disclosure laws are followed by candidates for public office, state officials and locals, lobbyists, political committees and those involved in ballot initiatives.
“Miguel is a respected professional in the banking world and I couldn’t be more proud to appoint him to the Commission,” Rutledge said. “As a child who immigrated to the United States, Miguel embodies the American dream where hard work and dedication result in a successful and fulfilling career.”
Lopez is currently the Community Outreach Manager for Encore Bank and previously worked at First Community Bank and Little Rock Chamber.
He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science as well as his Masters in Public Administration.
